He went back home to the USA & made a name for himself on the tournament fighting circuit starting in the 1960s, the time period called "The Blood & Guts Era". Eventually he became a Hollywood movie actor, starring in many action films as well as television series.
General Choi Hong Hi, the principle founder of the original or military self defense Taekwon-Do, in a special promotion, promoted Chuck Norris to 8th Dan on April 13, 2000. His ITF Certificate # is:
