OPEN TALK NUTRITIONAL CONNECTION / Bärbel Fischer-Trimborn

Im Rahmen des Ausstellungsprogramms Nutritional Connection im Neuf Trois Basel spricht Bärbel Fischer-Trimborn über die alltägliche Praxis in der Landwirtschaft und darüber, wie ein Familienbetrieb im Dreiländereck die Zukunft der regionalen Versorgung einschätzt und mitgestaltet. Ausgehend von der Arbeit der Fischer-Trimborn GbR gibt der Vortrag Einblicke in den Alltag eines regional verwurzelten Hofes, in die Bedeutung direkter Vermarktungswege nach dem Prinzip „Erzeuger trifft Verbraucher“ sowie in die Rolle des Wochenmarkts als zentralen Ort der Begegnung. Zudem beleuchtet Bärben Fischer-Trimborn die Zusammenarbeit mit lokalen Akteur:innen wie den Haltinger Winzern und zeigt auf, wo Chancen, Herausforderungen und mögliche Perspektiven für eine nachhaltige regionale Versorgung liegen. Der Talk ist Teil der Ausstellung Food Around the Corner, die sich mit lokalen und saisonalen Lebensmitteln und ihrer Relevanz für zukunftsfähige Ernährungssysteme auseinandersetzt. As part of the Nutritional Connection program at Neuf Trois in Basel, Bärbel Fischer-Trimborn discusses everyday agricultural practice and how a family farm in the region envisions and contributes to the future of regional food supply. Drawing on the experience of the Fischer-Trimborn GbR, the lecture offers insights into the daily reality of a locally rooted farm, the relevance of direct-to-consumer marketing under the principle of “producer meets consumer,” and the role of weekly markets as essential community spaces. The talk also highlights collaborations with local partners such as the Haltinger Winemakers and explores the opportunities, challenges, and future paths for building sustainable regional food systems. This lecture is part of the exhibition Food Around the Corner, which focuses on local and seasonal food practices and their importance for resilient nutrition systems.
