Today I did a chase of Union Pacific's Torrance Local from it's construction at 4th Street Yard, to the Phillips 66 Refinery which was its only customer of the day. The train traveled through some of LA's more dangerous areas, down the Metrolink River Subdivision, to the Torrance Industrial Lead. Today's train was powered by a trio of EMD GP40-2s the last one being a GP40P-2 that was converted from passenger service to freight service. Enjoy some urban railroading!
