The Roaring Camp Railroads are well known for their narrow-gauge geared steam locomotives, but their Santa Cruz, Big Trees & Pacific Railway is also worth a ride. Pulled by a former Santa Fe CF7, this train takes you through the mountains near Felton, along the San Lorenzo River, and down to the coastal city of Santa Cruz. You'll travel over multiple bridges, through a 900 foot tunnel (under the Mission Santa Cruz), and then down the center of Chestnut Street with its two "wig wag" signals. After running down the wye, you'll go backwards, through a traffic circle by the Municipal Wharf, and down Beach Street before stopping right behind the famed Beach Boardwalk. Come along as we take a ride on the Roaring Camp Beach Train!
