While my newest ship Cunard Cruises Queen Mary 2 dock's in Southampton for its embarkation day, I decided to hop on the local train for a quick 20 minute ride up to the city of Winchester.
And boy oh boy am I happy I did.
What a magical place!
If you like smaller cities with a historic 'village feeling', calm peaceful rivers & streams flowing everywhere, ancient ruins, castles, friendly smiles and more... this is the place for you.
The feeling I got immediately once I started roaming these old streets can not be explained.
