This shows what happens when an Auvi-Q™ (0.1 mg) epinephrine auto-injector device is activated. Note that the needle self-retracts in less than one second. Auvi-Q is the only epinephrine auto-injectors with a retracting needle, and that comes in the 0.1 mg dose with a shorter needle, designed for patients 7.5 - 15 kg (16.5 - 33 lbs).
