An unreleased snippet from the recording session of "Shylmagoghnar - No Child of Man Could Follow", specifically the lead part towards the end. I ended up not sharing it during our promotional cycle for Transience, because I felt that it would have been too big of a spoiler. Now that the album has been out for a while though, I figured: why not?
Tips for people who want to learn this double tapping technique: there will be a LOT of unwanted noise when you start out. This is normal, so do not get discouraged! Just slow down and use the ridge of your right hand to mute strings that shouldn't be ringing anymore. It becomes an automatism after a while.
You can also use a scrunchy around the nut of the guitar to deaden strings automatically once you stop hitting them, but I don't recommend that early on, since you really need to hear your imperfections to be able to internalize the proper muscle reflexes.
