At No 5. We have Karen of Eden’s Secret. She makes melt and pour soaps, cold process soaps, body butters and bath bombs. She is the artisan behind the lovely soap cupcakes and soap cakes sold at the Eden’s secret webshop. She creatively decorates her soap cupcakes and soap cakes making it look so yummy and really pleasing to the eyes. I love watching her videos and to-date she has more 500 video uploads, wow! To me she is the soap making busy bee!
At No 4. We have Dean of Sentinel Soaps. He makes soaps, bath bombs, and body products. He is the only guy in this list. Dean shares, candle making tutorials, melt and pour soap making tutorials, and recently started uploading cold process soap making videos. What I like about his channel is his melt and pour soap swirling experiments. His process was well organized where he experimented on one variable at a time. His video shows a lot about his personal qualities, his patience and persistence and of course his attention to detail makes his soap making video tutorials worth watching for.
At No 3 We have Vera Kornilova also known as Mama Vera. She runs a soapmaking supplies shop in Moscow. She conducts soap making master classes in her shop and shares a number of melt and pour soap making tutorial in her channel. I don’t understand anything about what she said and even the closed captions and translations does not help much because the language is also Russian. Well, it’s not a big issue for me, really. I guess learning melt and pour soap making is more of a visual thing based on the assumption that each one of us already have some background experience on soap making in our chemistry 101 classes before. In her channel, she features her shop at the beginning of each video. Like, she would start selecting all those beautiful soap making molds in heart shape, watermelon shape and a lot of cute little stuff. Then, she would choose the soap base, fragrance and colorants. Sometimes, it gives me the impression or feeling of buying supplies in a grocery shop because everything is properly labelled and arranged. Then, she would then go to the training room and start demonstrating her melt and pour soap making tutorial.
At no 2 We have Ariane of La fille de la mer handmade soap shop in the magdalen islands quebec Canada. I always lip sync at the beginning of her video when she introduces herself. Her channel features cold process soaps, creams, lotions and other cosmetics that uses local ingredients. What I like most on her channel is her reviews on silicon soap molds, fragrance oils, and other soap making supplies. She also conducts giveaways from time to time. I find Ariane very creative and passionate about her craft. So if you are new to soap making or planning on trying out this craft - go and watch her videos. I can assure you - that you will end up with a smile on your face and can’t wait to start making your own soap.
At No 1 we have Anne-Marie aka as the Soap Queen. I believe that you somehow expected this right? Coz who can really beat the queen? Well, maybe you have someone in your mind right now, but I’ll leave that to you.
Anne-Marie is the CEO and founder of Brambleberry.com, a company that sells soap making supplies. Her channel has a number of how to-videos ranging from handmade soaps, bath bombs, lotions, lip balm and a lot more. What I like about her channel is that she gives a lot of easy to follow procedures that even those who just started their soapmaking journey or should I say Zero knowledge in the this craft would be able to understand. Aside from that, she also sometimes would have guest artisans who teach and share their soapmaking techniques and designs. So whether you’re a beginner or an advance soapmaker, I’m sure that there is a video in her channel that you could watch and enjoy.
So, I hope that you enjoyed my top 5 picks on soapmaking channels. I’ll try my best to come-up with another list on country specific channels or artisan so that I can have the chance to feature my other favourite soapmakers out there. Allow me to end this video with a borrowed tagline from the Soap Queen, “Happy Soaping!”
