Autocar ACX - Bridgeport Ranger Drop Frame MSL Garbage Truck

For a good while now, I've been wanting to take a trip out to Seattle to check out some of the trucks handling the current waste collection franchises in the city, with these little single-axle Bridgeport MSL's from Recology King County being at the top of my list of trucks to see! Recently, I was finally able to make my way on out there and grab some footage! So here we have an Autocar ACX setup in a "single axle" 4x2 drop-frame configuration with a Bridgeport Ranger Drop Frame manual side load body, seen here collecting some household garbage right in the heart of Seattle! These small trucks are an absolute necessity for navigating the narrow streets, tight alleyways, and dead end lanes that make up so much of Seattle's residential areas. In my opinion, these trucks are very well-spec'd for these routes, with dual cart tippers on both sides of hopper allowing for quick, efficient one-pass collection of these narrow streets! With automated collection taking over so much of the country these days, it was really cool to see newer MSL's in action in a place where semi-automated and manual collection methods remain a necessity to this day!
