九州は、中国、朝鮮、東南アジアやヨーロッパとの長い交流を通して育まれた独自の文化が息づいている土地です。

染物や織物、陶磁器、和紙などの伝統的なものづくり。自然の恵みを活かしたお茶やお酒、発酵食品などの食べもの。作家の創造性を伸びやかに表現したアート作品。これらは九州の風土や歴史に根ざした、現代に生きる文化です。
