At a Stanford HAI seminar, award-winning management scholar Melissa Valentine and computer scientist Michael Bernstein discussed their newly published book, Flash Teams, which explores the opportunities and challenges of rapidly-assembled, on-demand teams.
Praised by The New York Times for its “revolutionary potential,” the book envisions a staffing model where experts are available anytime and everywhere, where remote work has become a norm, and where AI helps guide team decisions. The authors distilled lessons from their own work building and managing flash teams that every manager can learn from so they can successfully use flash teams in their own organizations.
