In United States, a lot of weird attacks have been happening to places of worship.
Earlier this month, the Family Research Council released its latest "Hostility against Churches in the United States" report, and the reports states that, in 2024, there were 415 reported hostile acts against churches across 43 states, and the number of churches affected are 383 houses of worship.
The motives for these are attacks are not yet known, to some, motives get declared, but to the majority, we don’t know. And this is happening during the time in which church attendance in the US is reducing day by day.
Let’s go to our story today. This story is of a 35-year old man, From Stevens Point City in Wisconsin, United States.
His name is Jute T. Handrick. Last week, Handrick allegedly broke through the glass door entry of Celebration Church and proceeded to break all the windows of the building, reported the Stevens Point Journal.
A complait came in at 7:19 a.m. on Aug. 21st. 2025, a caller reported the break in.
When police arrived, they found the glass entry door on the northeast side of the building broken, three windows on the north side and two on the west side of the building were broken too. The full-length, double-glass door was completely shattered. Inside the door was a large chunk of concrete that was likely thrown through the door, according to the complaint.
When the police looked around Outside, directly next to the door was a yellow piece of paper with a handwritten note that said
"Tell Jesus I said f--- you and who U with. Amen." "Love Jute,"
The officers flipped the paper over and saw it was a probation card with an appointment and probation officer's name written on it, according to the complaint.
At 12:18 p.m. the same day, Handrick went to the Portage County Law Enforcement Center, in the same city and turned himself in. Officers booked him into the jail for a probation violation.
It turns out, during the time he did all this, he was on probation.
When the officers had a conversation with Handrick, he said he had walked to the church and got "really angry at God" because of his life situation, according to the complaint. He said the vandalism wasn't targeting a specific person. He wanted everyone to know the pain he was feeling.
