I Designed Custom Shoes For Ice Cube!

Vick Almighty ensures Ice Cube has another good day with this exclusive custom of Devin Booker’s Nike Book 1 “Haven.” Taking inspiration from Ice Cube’s legendary black-and-white look — most famously worn in the movie Friday with his classic Nike Air Force 1 Low — Vick crafted a sneaker that’s a perfect West Coast tribute.
The Footprint Center, home to the Phoenix Suns and Mercury, hosted the 'Nightmare on Cube Street' tour, featuring Ice Cube, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and other old-school hip-hop icons. To celebrate the occasion, Vick Almighty was tapped to create this custom for Ice Cube, combining his Almighty skills with Devin Booker’s signature shoe for a one-of-a-kind creation.
Vick deconstructed two pairs of Nike Book 1 "Haven" sneakers, using the midsole of one pair and the upper of the other to embody Cube’s unmistakable black-and-white aesthetic. With the help of Jordan Diab, D-Nice Customs, and Christian Hernandez, the pair featured key design elements such as 'Ice Cube' embroidered on the tongues, paisley print-lined tongues and insoles, 'WESTSIDE' lettering on the patent leather pull tabs, and a premium white lambskin Swoosh with a satin outline. The custom also features black pebbled leather to give the sneaker a sleek and timeless look.
But no custom is complete without the right finishing touch. Vick dyed the outsoles to a rich black finish and relied on Reshoevn8r’s Medium Brush to remove any excess dye, ensuring a smooth and polished look for Cube’s West Coast homage.
