Cadillac Escalade V Custom Xpel Paint Protection Package, Window Tint and Gtechniq Ceramic Coating

Before the owner can start driving this thing, the first order is to eliminate any contaminants that may be bonded to the surface during transportation or from the factory. Even though the vehicle is brand new, contaminants, usually in the form of rail dust, can attach itself to the paint, leaving a rough surface. This must be removed prior to any paint protection film being applied to the vehicles paint. Even a single spec of dirt or sand will become very obvious underneath the film and the install will not look as clean or "invisible". To ensure the best possible install, we use a two part decontamination process, the initial step is via chemical during our wash process and the second is manually with a clay bar by hand.

Once the surface is perfectly clean and smooth, we can begin apply the paint protection film to all of the desired surfaces. On this Escalade V, there is a ton of gloss black paint and trim so the owner wanted maximum coverage without going too crazy. Together, we put together a custom "highway package", which includes the entire front end of the car, including all of the surround trims, grille surrounds, etc. We also applied film to the lower doors, lower rockers and impact areas behind the rear wheels. To help with daily family activities, the customer requested the entire rear bumper be covered with PPF to avoid any scratches or gauges from luggage, sports equipment or climbing into the tailgate area. Finally we applied paint protection film to all of the piano black pillars on the entire side of the vehicle, otherwise known as A/B/C/D pillars and the leading edge of the roof.

Once we the PPF is applied to the desired areas, we can begin to clean and prepare the rest of the vehicle for polishing. Being jet black, youd be extremely lucky not to need some amount of paint correction to bring the finish up to the level our customers expect of us. This wasnt the first vehicle we have done for this client, so we knew he wanted the paint to looks its absolute best! We performed a two step paint correction on it to get the results that were discussed with the owner. Once we have the desired results with the paint correction stage, we can begin the ceramic coating process. We use an alcohol spray to remove any remaining oils or slips solutions from the install.

Of course, when our clients ask for the best, we always go to our staple, the Gtechniq Crystal Serum Ultra "Black" Package. This includes a base layer of Crystal Serum Ultra, followed with EXOv5 on all of the exterior surfaces. We also applied a combination of these coatings on the door jambs, trunk plastics, interior carbon, etc. We also performed our wheels off detail and ceramic coating package, to make life easier. At this time, the customer chose to skip the wheels, since he will have some aftermarket wheels coming in soon, which we will coat at a later time.

To give the occupants some added privacy and keep them cool, we chose to use XPEL Prime Plus XR on all of the side and back glass. This will help protect the interior with UV and IR protection, which offers the occupants unmatched heat rejection and comfort!
