PATTERN

For symmetry cast on multiple of 2 + 1 sts including edge stitches.

slip first stitch of every row whether it is right side or wrong side of work to form smooth edges.

Base row 1 - Right side - slip st1, p all.

Base row 2 - Wrong side - slip st1, p all.

Row 1 - Right side - slip st1, k1, * p1, make 5 st from next st, p1 *, repeat from * to *, k2.

5 STS FROM 1 ST - k st but don't remove st from left hand needle, yo k same st again but don't remove from left hand needle, yo k same st again and remove st from left hand needle.

ROW 2 - Wrong side - slip st1, p1, k all design sts, p2.

ROW 3 - Right side - slip st1, k1, * p1, k5 *, repeat from * to *, k2.

ROW 4 - Wrong side - slip st1, p1 * k1,
slip next 2 sts on right hand needle purl next 3 sts together, now pass 2 slipped sts onto p3tog st *, repeat from * to *, p2.

ROW 5 - Right side - slip st1, k all.

ROW 6 - Wrong side - slip st1, p all.

these 6 rows form pattern. repeat these 6 rows to continue your pattern.
