In this episode of Stories From The Movement, we dive into what it really means to serve and live in community — not just as a program, but as a way of life rooted in incarnational ministry. At The Common Church, we believe that following Jesus isn’t just about gathering on Sundays. It’s about showing up, week in and week out, in the places people actually live life.
We’re a church that prioritises missional communities — small groups of 8–15 people who live life together, deeply connected not just to one another, but to their neighbourhoods.
These communities don’t just exist to worship or do Bible studies. They exist to be on mission — loving, serving, and forming real relationships with the people in their local context.
That call to incarnational ministry means entering into the joys and struggles of our neighbourhoods. It means being physically present — not parachuting in for a one-off event, but building lives together. This is how we follow Jesus’ example: God became one of us, and we’re called to do the same in our own city, suburb by suburb.
Through stories from our missional communities, viewers will hear how common lives—shared meals, shared burdens, real love—can bring transformation. Whether it’s caring for people on the margins, hosting meals, or simply being neighbours, we want to reflect Christ in tangible ways.
