Sunday Evening (Ladärne yypfyffe): Watching the traditional "piping in" of the lanterns before the carnival officially begins.

Morgestraich (Monday 4:00 AM): The city lights go out and the carnival begins in total darkness.

The Cortège (Monday Parade): The main procession featuring large cliques, floats, and Guggemusik.

Kinderfasnacht (Tuesday): The Children's Carnival, where families and the next generation take over the streets.

About Basel Fasnacht: Known as the "three most beautiful days" (die drey scheenschte Dääg), Basel's carnival is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage event. It is unique for its strict separation between participants (active) and spectators, its satirical themes, and the haunting sounds of piccolo and drums.
