When I went to Athens today to check out some more traffic lights and railfan a bit, I noticed a SB train stopping on the siding over US-72. This could only mean one thing: a NB was coming. I decided to set up at Market St, since it has the only pedestrian gate in the area. Sure enough, right as I got out of my car to look down the tracks, I saw a NB coming. I quickly set up my tripod and about 40 seconds later the crossing activated. It was rather nice to catch.
This was also nice as the third unit had a unique font on the number.
