In 2009, Intamin tested out a new water ride named "Pilgrim's Plunge" in Holiday World, US. Prone to maintenance issues, it was not a huge success, as it shut down in 2013, but introduced a recognizable dual elevator lift, which the company later re-used on their water coasters. in 2012, Mirabilandia in Italy built the prototype Intamin Water Coaster, named Divertical. The ride instantly earned the title of "world's tallest water coaster" (which still holds today), and became quite popular within visitors. Despite this, it suffered several issues, most notably a train stalled on the helix, 13m off the ground that required the evacuation of guests and led to the ride being closed for the rest of the 2014 season and for part of the 2015 season. Despite this, Divertical still entertains guests today with its refreshing ride, so much that it's common thing said that "you get soaked on Divertical and you dry off on iSpeed".
