Jon-Michael Hager, from Mercer County, WV, was the first pediatric patient to undergo a kidney transplant at Charleston Area Medical Center in 1989.
He was 7 years old.
In Feb. 2025, Jon-Michael underwent a second kidney transplant at CAMC.
He told us his amazing story during one of his recent follow-up visits.
