Whimsical Woodland Fox Painting| Acrylic + Colored Pencil Details

It’s time to take another art break, and today I’m sharing how I created this whimsical woodland fox using acrylic paint on black paper, finished with colored pencils, chalk pencil, and pen details for that extra storybook charm.

This fox is the second painting in my Woodland Animal Series. The first was a sweet little bunny, and up next will be an adorable hedgehog! I’ll walk you through my full process step-by-step—from transferring the drawing, building layers with a dry-brush technique, adding soft shading, and finishing with my favorite scribbly details that really bring her to life.
