Dino Mech Gaiking (大空魔竜ガイキング, Daikū Maryū Gaikingu) is one of the most popular and best Japanese giant robot mecha anime series produced by Toei Animation.

It aired from April 1976 to January 1977, consisting of 44 episodes. Created by Go Nagai (uncredited), Akio Sugino, Kunio Nakatani, Dan Kobayashi.

The story follows the battle between the crew of the dragon carrier Daikū Maryū and the Super Robot Gaiking against an alien race called the Dark Horror Army.

Notable for its real-world locations and unique mecha designs, it gained popularity internationally. The series has made appearances in video games and was planned for a Hollywood live-action adaptation. But so far we don't have a Gaiking Movie...
