Should you buy a Lamy 2000 fountain pen in 2022?

There are very few 14k fountain pens that are piston fillers. Three of the most popular are the Pilot Custom Heritage 92, the Pelikan M400/M405, and lastly - the Lamy 2000.

Some of the reasons why I didn't get one for so long was because of
the price - Lamy 2000s and Lamy's, in general, are quite expensive pens here in Singapore. I do not think it is worth the 346 dollars that it costs here.
the design - I think the Germanic design is an acquired taste - the brushed Makrolon material is definitely unique and classic, however, it is starting to look not as "modern" as something like a demonstrator fountain pen.
the section design with the slippery alloy area. this didn't end up being so bad for me as I hold the pen at the intersection of the alloy/Makrolon

Is this pen worth buying in 2022? I would say - giving it a try in the hand is definitely a must. If you can get a good deal at less than $150 AND you like the design etc, there aren't many other pens out there with the same attributes.
