Saturday the 6th of September 2025 was quite a remarkable day to remember as the sea wall at Dawlish witnessed consecutive steam hauked trains, one being double headed. This video commences on the previoius day with a positioning move of 7029 CLUN CASTLE and 45596 BAHAMAS recorded during a brief stop in the Bath down Goods Loop whilst en route to bristol for the following day's vintage trains "The Mayflower" excursion. On Saturday the 6th September I recorded Saphos Trains "English Riviera Express" stoping to pick up passengers at Bath Spa and Bristol Temple Meads. Our journey down to Dawlish by service train was in a Voyager unit and I filmed it briefly whilst changing trains at Exeter st David's. Both outward and return steam specials are recorded at Dawlish. The video also captures a glimpse of the famous Dawlish Black Swans. The video also includes the increasingly choppy sea and waves smashing into the sea wall and a homeward ride along the sea wall in such conditions. There are also glimpses of Dawlish Warren signal box, Cockwood Harbour (full of water) and a view of a class 66 during the final change of train at Westbury.
