On the 29th day of November, 2025, African Union University - AUU International official launched its Distance Learning Centre at Mayo College in Sierra Leone. The AUUI Distance Learning Centre is positioned to host AUU International-TISBI joint degree programmes from micro degree programmes to diploma programmes, bachelor's degree programme and master's degree programmes. The University of Management - TISBI is the lead Partner of the AUU International Consortium. The Launch featured presentations from the President and Vice President of AUU International (Professor Ehi Eric Esoimeme Esq. and Professor Paul Allieu Kamara), Director of Studies of Mayo College (Dr. Sesay), Vice President of TISBI and the First Vice Rector (Professor Nikolai and Professor Anna) and Mr. Gomez and Mr. Jannot. TISBI confirmed during their presentation that their joint programmes with AUUI will officially commence in 2026 with foundational language learning and degree programmes. The Launch witnessed the official signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between AUU International and Mayo College and the official opening of the Distance Learning Centre. A tour was also initiated around the campus to showcase the classrooms and offices.
