Siemens recently released a new series of HMI panels called Unified Basic Panels (UBP). UBPs are low-cost and more resource-restricted HMI panels that belong to the Unified ecosystem, which we explored in one of our previous videos. If you are seeking a low-cost HMI but want to take advantage of new features such as scripting in JavaScript or need a multi-touch HMI for your system, UBP is worth considering! In this video, we will explore the main differences between the new Unified Basic Panels and the Unified Comfort Panels (UCPs). Additionally, we will unbox a brand new UBP and walk you through the boot sequence and more.
