Discover the SECRET to Making Your Cloud Pearl Pour Stand Out!

Today I’m using the cloud pour recipe with earthy and metallic tones to create a stunning fluid art painting. My palette includes gold, copper, apricot, clay, and a custom table mix paint. Starting with a triple cup open pour, I layer the paints—including the cloud mix—into cookie cutters, adding black around them before releasing the paint.
As I tilt the canvas, the colours flow into organic shapes, and the pearl cells form instantly, creating fascinating textures. The earthy tones blend beautifully, and I’m thrilled with the composition and the development of the delicate cells.
Once dry, I embellish the piece with a small crane stencil flying across the landscape—a symbol of peace, hope, and healing, perfect for the start of the new year. The crane adds depth and meaning to the artwork, and the final gloss varnish enhances the vibrant colours, completing this beautiful piece.

Cloud Pearl Pour Recipe:
2 parts acrylic paint
4 parts Floetrol
1 part Liquitex Pouring Medium
1 part Golden GAC 800
1 part DecoArt Satin Enamel
Water to correct consistency
