In this week adventure we decided to venture out somewhere new . We opted for Ardwell , South west Scotland .The weather soon settled for the best , no wind and a hot sunny day . A mix of local knowledge and tactics soon put us on the fish . Smoothhound plentiful in this part of the world . We then progress onto new species and fresh mackerel bait did the trick . I hooked into a sizable thornback ray using 4lb fluorocarbon , those little hto Lrf rods won't break . I added Gurnard and Spotted ray to the species list and eventually managed a Baby tope to round up the day . Great company as always and some paddling too . Fantastic new adventure full of action .
