simple recipe for plain Laccha Paratha without egg or chicken:
Ingredients:
For the Dough:
2 cups whole wheat flour / all purpose flour
suger
Water (for kneading)
Salt (to taste)
Ghee or oil (for cooking)
Instructions:
1. *Prepare the Dough:*
In a mixing bowl, combine whole wheat flour, salt, sugar ghee/ oil and water.
Knead the mixture into a soft and smooth dough. Let it rest for about 30 minutes, covered with a damp cloth.
2. *Make the Parathas:*
Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and roll each portion into a small ball.
Take one ball and roll it out into a thin disc using a rolling pin.
Brush the disc with ghee or oil./ butter
Fold the disc inwards from one end to the other, creating a thin, layered strip.
Coil the strip into a round ball and flatten it gently.
Roll out the flattened ball into a circular disc.
3. *Cook the Parathas:*
Heat a tawa or griddle. Place the rolled-out paratha on the hot surface.
Cook each side with a little ghee or oil until golden brown spots appear.
Serve hot Laccha Parathas with your favorite curry, raita, or pickles. Enjoy the flaky and delicious layers!
