After 10 years of working in environmental education, we’re proud to share a program that brings together everything we’ve learned. The Zero Waste School Program 2025 combines hands-on learning experiences and practical changes to school infrastructure. Aligned with the national curriculum, it’s designed to work in any elementary school in Indonesia.
In the 12-lesson curriculum, students learn in a fun and engaging way about the causes and consequences of plastic pollution. The program inspires them to reduce single-use plastics and improve their waste separation skills.
To foster lasting changes in schoolchildren’s waste management habits, the program includes:
-Establishing single-use plastic-free canteens
-Implementing a waste separation bin system
-Connecting schools with waste banks for recycling
-Setting up composting facilities to manage organic waste effectively
Our goal is clear: to transform schoolchildren’s waste management habits, creating lifelong change. Together, we’re working toward zero waste to landfills!
