Mickey Baltz is a ventriloquist character created by Kansas native Howard Baltz in 1932 according to his family. Howard performed as a magician and ventriloquist through out the midwest under the performance name of Howard Stone.
Along with his wife Clora, Howard entertained for charity events and hospitals up until his passing in the late 1990's. Since that time, Mickey has remained silent and in poor physical shape until restored by professional entertainer Jim Barber who unveiled the new Mickey during his live performance on Saturday, June 19, 2011 at the Hamner Barber Theater in Branson, Missouri.
This video shows the 77 year old Mickey's return to the stage after 32 years of silence as well as scenes from the restoration process as performed by Jim Barber.
