Travel Planning - How we book a year of travel

One of the biggest questions we get asked is how we plan. The honest answer is that the overall plan is pretty simple. Big events, cruises and timed occasions are plotted first. It's everything else that takes the time. The tours, the hotels, the internal flights and transfers. It consumes so much of your life and it cannot be underestimated.

So we schedule the fixed points and occasions and plan around from there. We try to keep costs down by staying in similar areas to the event for a period of time but that is not always possible.

We plan in 2026, fill the gaps and then talk about our main events for 2027 and 2028. Yes we are planners and we are not going to be the people booking flights at the last minute, that is just not us. We plan, we use points and live big.

Remember, you're here for a good time, not a long time.
