Savage Reign [Arcade] - play as King Lion / Kage Shishioh

King Lion is the penultimate boss of the game. He is a regular playable character.

===== ABOUT KING LION =====

His real name is Jake Abbot (or Kage Shishioh), and he is the impersonator of King Leo. Under the latter's orders, he participates in the tournament using the "King Lion" name to intimidate and for the purpose of testing out any challengers to see if they are worthy enough to face King Leo.

Despite being seemingly loyal to King Leo, he actually has plans to overthrow his master and take over the city for himself. He wields the Sword of Leo broadsword.

===== GAMEPLAY =====

He is basically a weaker version of King Leo with a different colour palette, designed specially to be a playable character. He has slightly weaker versions Leo's special moves, and he also does not have the Hunter Killer, Thunder God Breath and King Upper moves which Leo has.

===== ADDITIONAL INFORMATION / TRIVIA =====

---- His voice is different to King Leo's. He has a distinct "Japanese accent" when shouting his special/super move English names, while Leo has a British accent when doing the same.

---- His basic Heavy strikes do not emit electricity, unlike Leo.

---- In the pre-fight dialogue before you fight King Leo, the dialogue here is different to as if you used Leo as your character.

---- Both Lion and Leo make an appearance in NeoGeo Battle Coliseum.

---- He makes a cameo appearance in KOF: Maximum Impact 2.

===== ABOUT SAVAGE REIGN =====

As a 2D fighting game, Savage Reign's most unique feature is the ability to jump into and fight on different planes, and also interact with certain objects (whilst in the background planes) depending on the stage you are on. This feature is more advanced than the Fatal Fury plane system, and uses some impressive (for the time) graphical techniques to achieve it.
