Karimatanu Kuicha (Chorus of the Karimata Village) is a Japanese Folk Song composed by Ko Matsushita. Karimatanu Kuicha is a song that depicts the life and story of the people of Karimata Village in Japan. Esteemed composer and arranger Ko Matsushita composed the song to reflect the waves of the sea surrounding the island intertwined with the celebration of the people after a successful hunting trip. The song ends triumphantly with claps and stomps.
In July 2019, the FEU Chorale sang this piece as part of its repertoire in the Folk Song Category of the 4th Andrea O. Veneracion International Choral Festival, where the choir won 1st Runner Up.
