This video shows diamond concrete drilling. It was known that the underground cistern contained water, but it was suspected that the outside might be sealed with concrete. The initial plan was to drill directly into the cistern. After drilling the first 12 cm of a Ø420 mm hole, it became clear that the structure was not concreted but filled with small stones. Because of this, there was no need to drill directly into the cistern itself. A larger Ø900 mm opening was then drilled for the next stage of work. Later, the opening will be cut with a specialized tool and the cistern will be sealed with concrete.
