એક 10-12 વર્ષનો છોકરો, બહાદુર, પરિવારની ખરાબ પરિસ્થિતિને કારણે એક નાની હોટલમાં કામ કરતો હતો. હસમુખ સ્વભાવના કારણે બધાં ગ્રાહકો એને પસંદ કરતા. માલિક પણ એના પર એટલો ભરોસો રાખતા કે કાઉન્ટર એની હવાલે કરી દેતા. પણ એક દિવસ માલિકની પત્નીએ એના પર શંકા વ્યક્ત કરી, જેથી માલિકે ચુપચાપ કાઉન્ટર પર કૅમેરા મૂક્યો. આખા દિવસનો વિડિયો જોયો તો બહાદુરની ઈમાનદારી જોઈ એમની આંખે પાણી આવી ગયા. જ્યારે બહાદુરના પિતા ચા-સમોસા માંગે છે, ત્યારે એ પોતાના પિતાને પણ કહેશે કે “માફ કરો, પણ હું માલિકનો નોકર છું, તમારે પૈસા ચૂકવવા પડશે.” અંતે પિતા પણ એના ઇમાનદારીથી પ્રસન્ન થાય છે. બીજા દિવસે માલિકે બહાદુરને ગળે લગાવ્યો.

આ કથા માંથી શીખ મળે છે કે ઉંમરથી નહિ, પણ કર્મથી માણસ ની મૂલ્યમાપન થવી જોઈએ.

A 10–12-year-old boy named Bahadur worked at a small hotel due to his family's poor financial condition. Cheerful and lively by nature, all the customers liked him. Even the owner trusted him enough to leave the counter in his care. But one day, the owner’s wife expressed doubt about Bahadur’s honesty, prompting the owner to secretly place a camera at the counter.

That evening, they watched the recording and were moved to tears. Bahadur was seen doing his job honestly, handling the counter properly. At one point, his father came to the hotel and asked for a samosa and tea. Bahadur said, “A samosa costs 10 and tea 5. Please pay first.” His father said, “You’ll charge your own father?” Bahadur replied, “I’m working for my employer now, and you’re a customer. I can't give anything for free without permission. If needed, I’ll pay from my pocket.”

The next day, the owner hugged Bahadur, overwhelmed by his honesty.

This story teaches us that a person's worth is defined not by age, but by their actions.
