FADED is my 1st song that I speak about STRUGGLES with ADDICTIONS. Not just with drugs but with the lifestyle that I have been accustomed to from all my years touring. The love, the excitement, the parties, the drugs, the fear of feeling empty by the end of every show and the overall my on going battle of trying to balance my so call rock star life style and being a family man.

Everyone has their vice and addiction. I'm currently dealing with mine. This song is the beginning of my recovery. I love what I do and I love the people I see when I'm on tour, but for myself I will learn to control the fast pace life style that I've gotten so accustomed to. When I write music that is this personal, just know that it's my way of leaving a legacy for my kids to know what their dad was going through and that I was always thinking about them and my wife. And always doing my best to grow as a man, husband and father.
