Winter had other plans for us this week. A snowstorm slowed everything down, so instead of pushing through projects, we leaned into a simple, cozy day at home on our Alaska homestead.

From morning chores in the snow to taking down Christmas décor, baking homemade brownies, and warming up by the fire—this was one of those ordinary winter days that quietly becomes meaningful. We even bundled up for some snowy fun, sledding with the kids and of course, there was plenty of plowing to keep up with the storm.

These slower days are such a reminder that homestead life isn’t just about the big builds and projects—it’s about family, rhythm, and making the most of where you are, even when plans change. Thanks for being here and sharing this season of life with us, cheers!
