We’re looking at why Dream’s face reveal was basically doomed for the beginning. Last year in October 2022 the Minecraft streamer Clay revealed his face to his audience – only to have the internet and Twitter turn on him. The expectations from his fans to look like a gamer version of timothee chalamet weren’t met and last week he decided to become a faceless creator again by putting the mask back on. Could it have been the parasocial relationships he fostered within his community that led to this reaction? Was it a series of unfortunate events throughout his career that caused this overreaction of an average looking guy finally showing his face?
