RAINY DAYS in the van & SLOW TRAVEL on the West Coast of Scotland

We are around the middle of the West Coast in this video, we've had many rainy days stuck in the van and have ended up travelling very slowing! Long walks haven't really been possible because of the rainy weather and severe winds (turned out Storm Otto was upon us and we didn't know about it until Brochan's mum text to ask if we were still alive!)

We also had a very stressful few days so filming was a little on and off this week but I hope you enjoy our travels anyway. We did find some beautiful tropical looking beaches at the end of the week :)

Brochan and I are travelling around Scotland with our dog Floss in our self converted VW T4. Taking in the Caingorms, rugged coastline, white beaches and endless mountains of the Highlands! Of course there has been the typical winter weather to contend with, some days have been van bound, hiding from the wind and rain. But we have also had some amazing hikes and beautifully sunny days :)

I live in Wales and love to be outdoors whenever possible, from hiking in vast mountains to spending time amongst plants in my garden . I made this channel because I just love creating videos and wanted to share them with you. It's not so much about the highest mountain or getting the best view but about just enjoying the journey along the way and noticing small wonders in the wild 🌿

A note on Applecross Pass ~ I think the right name for the pass is actually Bealach na Bà (meaning pass of the cattle) but it also seems to commonly be called by Applecross Pass when I looked up what it's right name was. I'm not sure if the name Applecross Pass has come about from it being part of the NC500 and being easier to pronounce or something like that?
