This was part two of a LONG day in the bee yard. With novice beekeepers Victoria and Julie, I inspected 8 Layens hives (in part one... part two was another 8) and prepared them for winter.
We encountered wax moth damage, robbing, a dead-out, a possibly queenless hive, and highly defensive bees (likely "Africanized"). Help from Victoria and Julie was invaluable!
