The mobile Russian border - From Sochi to Yerevan (2014)

Georgia has a tense relationship with Russia. Russia is trying to take land from Georgia bit by bit, for example as they did in 2008 with a war. Jelle visits neighbors who are separated by barbed wire. A visit to the Khevsureti - who traditionally guard the borders of Georgia - shows to Jelle how the Russians slowly but surely move their border posts.

Jelle Brandt Corstius goes looking for answers in The Mountains Behind Sochi. In this six-episode series he travels from Sochi in Russia through the Caucasus. Far from political power games and war intrigues, he visits remote mountain villages and meets proud peoples with a strong desire to be independent.
