🎻⚓ “The Ballad of Captain Rowan and the Fair Sirène” ⚓🎻
Verse I — The Vision on the Shore
Oh, gather ‘round, ye scoundrels, I’ve a tale to bend the night,
Of Captain Rowan Stormbeard and his foolish, blazing might.
He saw her on a moonlit pier, a beauty dressed in white —
“By the Devil’s own black flag,” he swore, “I’ll make that girl my bride!”
Verse II — Oaths of Rum and Madness
For love will drive a sane man mad, and madmen even worse,
He pledged his heart, his ship, his soul — and maybe half his purse.
Through reefs of death and Kraken jaws he fought with iron pride,
All for a smile from Lady Sirène on that distant, foreign tide.
Chorus
Oh Rowan, bold Rowan, you fool of the seven seas!
You crossed the storms and cursed isles just to fall upon your knees.
For love is sharp as cutlass steel — and twice as good at lies,
And the fairest flower on the shore… wore whiskers in disguise!
Verse III — Triumph in the Fire
He battled rival buccaneers, outdrank a demon crew,
He stole a king’s own treasure chest (and maybe his crown too).
He braved a haunted hurricane where specters wailed and cried,
And shouted: “Nothing stops my love! I’ll take Sirène as my bride!”
Verse IV — The Revelation
At last he reached that distant port with roses in his hand,
The tavern roared, the fiddles sang across the drunken land.
Sirène stepped forth—so lovely still, with eyes like morning dew,
But Rowan froze from head to boots… something looked too new.
The dress fell back, the hair tied up, a grin both sly and warm:
“My name is Sire René, my dear — I trust you like my… charm?”
The sailors howled, the lanterns swung, the barmaid spilled her ale,
While Rowan stood in stupefied and legendary pale.
Chorus
Oh Rowan, poor Rowan, undone by Cupid’s joke!
You won the world for ‘her’ sweet smile — and nearly went bankrupt!
Across the seas you chased a dream, oh brave but clueless knight…
But love’s a tide that tricks us all, especially drunk at night!
Bridge — The Toast of the Misled
Raise your rum for love’s illusions!
Raise your rum for shattered pride!
Raise your rum for every sailor
Who courted the wrong side!
But toast the courage of a man
Who fought through hell and flame —
For even when he learned the truth,
He loved Sirène all the same.
Final Verse — The Legend Lives
Now Rowan sails with René still, two rogues upon the sea,
A pair of hearts too wild to tame, bound by sweet piracy.
And when the moon is bright and round, the taverns sing with pride:
“No love was ever bolder than the Captain and his guide!”
Final Chorus (Grand & Comedic)
Oh Rowan, famed Rowan, your legend fills the night!
You faced the Kraken and your heart — and both put up a fight!
For love may fool the strongest men, but fools can love with grace…
And the greatest treasure of the sea wore stubble on his face!
