No more overheating! See how a bigger aftermarket radiator transformed my Falcon AU’s cooling.
Swapping out the stock radiator on my Ford Falcon AU for a bigger aftermarket unit made a massive difference. I tried everything else first, new OEM radiator, proper coolant flush, premium anti-boil coolant, and the car still ran hot climbing long passes with the A/C on.
After upgrading to a larger radiator, the temps now only rise about 15 degrees from normal driving (around 78°C) to about 90–96°C depending how hard I’m pushing it, according to the Forscan scan tool. The cluster still shows normal, and it’s a huge improvement compared to before when it would climb to around 125% and almost hit the red.
Honestly, I should’ve done this upgrade the last time I swapped the radiator. Glad I finally sorted it. Cheers.
