Amber came up with our challenge this week. She picked sunset colors and I couldn’t be happier. I love this palette. Especially with alcohol inks. For the most part I tilted the sky and water…it creates a very organic effect.

To make TLP pigments into alcohol inks:

Mix TLPs with some alcohol
Add piñata Claro or extender
Pour into a needle nose bottle
Shake vigorously

That’s it. The claro gives the pigments something to hold onto so it doesn’t smear. But it’s recommended that you seal your work with Kamar UV protectant and/or Kamar Varnish

Alcohol inks will fade if they are UV protected
