As part of the celebrations during Connecticut Open House Day, the Naugatuck Railroad, in conjunction with the RMNE, ran New Haven RDC 41 back and forth between Thomaston and Fascia's Chocolates in Watertown for three separate trips. Upon arrival at Fascia's, the passengers were taken inside the chocolate factory for 20 minute tours and samples of chocolate. The chocolate was delicious, and for the price of the ride, the tour was nice as well. Now for the fun part: chasing the train back and forth to and from Thomaston. In the first couple of scenes, we are in front of the chocolate factory, looking at the car. From there, we head up to the grade crossing at Frost Bridge road. We then head to the industrial park just south of Thomaston. We then see the train as it sits at Thomaston Station. From there, the train heads back south, and we see it as it passes a pair of fishermen trying their luck in the Naugatuck River. The train then ducks under Reynolds Bridge. The next scene is at the Naugatuck River bridge just above Chase Yard. We then see the train a little further south at the grade crossing at Commons Court, followed by a return shot at the Naugatuck River bridge as the train heads back north. Next, we're pacing back south for a moment by the industrial park south of Thomaston. Then we see the final trip north, first at Jericho Bridge, then while pacing the train north at the industrial park. Enjoy the many different views of the train. As a side note, while pacing the train, all local street laws were observed. If you have any questions about the video, feel free to message me. Comments are welcome. The videos were taken on June 13th, 2015.
