Fishing Tips With Captain Sanders: Tying Modified Spider Hitch & Uni Knots Ft. SS Switch Tool Holder

On this mini Fishing Tips episode, join Capt. Brian Sanders takes us through how to tie a uni knot and a modified spider hitch. He starts with the simple uni knot and then expands into how to use it to create a modified spider hitch, which can be just as strong but much easier and quicker than a full spider hitch.

Capt. Sanders also explains exactly when to use this type of knot based on the braid and leader you are using. He recommends using 20-30 lb braid and 30-60 lb leader with this particular knot. Anything much lighter or heavier, you may want to tie a double uni knot instead.
