Col de la Puina is not nearly as popular as other hikes in the Dolomites like Tre Cime di Lavaredo, but it does have some amazing mountain views. It’s a relatively short hike that starts out at a moderate incline, and becomes steeper after passing Rifugio Citta di Fiume (where you can hang out with cows and get an apple strudel). Col de la Puina features a small ridgeline trail connecting two summits, which both offer 360 degree views of the surrounding mountains. To get to Col de la Puina you can take the way I did, which is steep and almost a bushwhack in some spots, or you can take the other option (the way I descended), which is still steep, but is much more defined and goes through a small patch of alpine meadow.
