The Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI) Science Trainings aim to orient learners to the foundational science guiding The PTFI in its efforts to enable a global ecosystem to map food quality of the planet’s edible biodiversity by using standardized foodomics tools for application in research and translation to inform data-driven solutions.
Data Governance, Stewardship, and Ethics outlines The PTFI's principles for generating and applying food quality data, emphasizing ethics, equity, and data sovereignty. It covers key components like The PTFI data use agreement, ABS regulations, and FAIR and CARE principles, highlighting the need for responsible data stewardship and respect for Indigenous Peoples' rights and knowledge.
Food EDU is facilitated by the American Heart Association and the Alliance of Bioversity and CIAT as co-secretariats of The Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI).
