Once upon a time, in what feels like a former life, a young, care-free Hannah Peckham lived behind the sofa (not in a stalker kind of way!) of a young one-day to-be actor, Ben Barnes. The house was filled with his songs and their laughter, and the fridge was filled with Dime bars and vodka jelly.
As time passed, Hannah moved to a new home (Holly Willouby’s front room cupboard... true story) and Ben headed to America to follow his dream - and (in a way that seems weird now with 24/7 worldwide connectivity), sadly they lost contact.

They do say that true stories are sometimes the least believable! (I sometimes think I sound like some little elf that fit in small places. Oddly, it was around the time of the early Harry Potter books 😉 )

But Ben was always one of the kindest, gentlest, most respectful souls I’d ever met. Twenty years later, following a six degrees of separation message across an ocean, Ben heard of my son, Bodhi’s, leukaemia diagnosis and our campaign to raise funds for @leukaemiauk to fund research into a #kinder cure. True to his beautiful soul, Ben agreed to read my new book Bronty's Battle Cry and stand in solidarity with #teambodhi.
